S13 Based Tube Chassis Slidage

Mike Omara and Dan Sommer of Nocturnal Motorworks got together and decided to build an S13 tube chassis with a budget of 3000$. The challenge was to build it for the last track day of the season (30 days), and this is what they came up with:

1400lb fully loaded, 50/50 weight split, 250hp SR20DET rolling on 10inch slicks.

 The chassis features arm restraints, SFI approved harnesses and a fully encased battery. It also sports a custom steering shaft which is designed to fail upon hard impact to avoid injury to the driver and the fuel lines, electrical wiring and exhaust are all fully enclosed within or above the frame. It also uses super angle knuckles to help with the excessive amounts of over-steer inherent in the chassis.

Here it is during the event;

Pretty inspiring and incredibly dope!
