For What It's Worth

As time does pass she drowns in shadows,

I wish to help, yet wade in waters shallow.

The chains that confine covered in rust,

A love so unrivalled opposed to lust.

The day will come when she witnesses light,

And I will be there to emphasize the bright.

So here I wait and pray, through thick and thin,

For the day us lovers do meet again.

Steady heart which beats so slow,

How I beg, please don't plateau.

Yet, as time does pass, she drowns in shadows.
