Bossanova

bossa nova/ˈbäsə ˈnōvə/

  1. A style of Brazilian music derived from samba but placing more emphasis on melody and less on percussion.

Ever since I could remember, I've always had an "ear" for jazz. I don't mean the blues, or the classical stuff (however, I will listen to it every now and then) I'm talking about that contemporary snazzy stuff. The stuff you'd hear while waiting to get to the top floor in an executive elevator stuffed full of suits, or that high class lounge that serves top of the line Paloma's.

Sweet, sweet nectar from the heavens.

Hilarious how video games brought me to loving the genre (it has roots connected to samba/latin/classical). The Sims + Gran Turismo 2, 3, 4 and now 5 have had significant influences on my ears. Thank you Kazunori Yamauchi, you've really outdone your self. Btw, Saxophones are le sex.

Onto the tunes!

Seigen Tokuzawa - Fiorenzo

Yasuo Sakou - Wind From Rio

Taroma Koshida - Sunday

Yudai Satoh - Current Of The Times

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Presents: Satoshi Bando - When The Rains Come

Seigen Tokuzawa - Cecile

Antonio Carlos Jobim - Wave

Riovolt - Sidewalk Samba

Variety Lab - London In The Rain

The Sims 1 - Neighbourhood Music

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - Satoshi Bando - Farewell

All that's missing now are the candles, some red wine, and an exotic view.
